Supporting downtown businesses and driving foot traffic with the Shop Small Coupon Book, Shop Small Colville event, and targeted ad campaigns that keep dollars local. We hope to invigorate the economy by encouraging entrepreneurship and community to shop locally and support small business.
Shop Small Summer Coupon Book (2029-2025)
The Shop Small Summer Coupon Book is a way to encourage our community and visitors to shop, dine, and enjoy the local businesses in the community. In 2025, we distributed the coupon books at the Home & Garden Show, the Farmers Market, various downtown businesses and FarmJam Music Festival.

Shop Small Colville! (2018-2025)
The eighth annual Small Business Saturday was a great success. We had over 100 customers to the booth in Heritage Court, this is almost twice as many as last year. 40 shoppers entered to win our grand prize. This vent has become a tradition for many in the community.

Keep the Cheer Here! – Media Campaign
Keep the Cheer Here is our new shop local campaign that reminds our community that downtown is a place to connect, support neighbors, and show pride in Colville. Through seasonal promotions and business spotlights the campaign encourages residents to keep their dollars local while reinforcing downtown as the heart of our community.

Downtown Business Survey
With support from a Technical Assistance Grant from Rural Development Initiatives (RDI), Colville Together conducted a Downtown Business Survey to better understand the needs, challenges, and opportunities facing our local businesses. The survey gathered direct feedback from business owners and is being used to guide future programs, advocate for resources, and ensure our work reflects real on-the-ground priorities in downtown Colville. If you are a downtown business you can take the baseline survey here Downtown Business Survey or the follow up survey here Survey – Summer 2026

Downtown Business Resource Guide
The survey helped us understand the needs of our business and to create a resource guide to inform them of the resources available.

Emergency Fund
The survey also helped us understand that many businesses need a quick boost or aid in times of emergency. The Downtown Business Emergency Fund is designed to provide quick, short-term financial assistance to downtown Colville businesses experiencing an unexpected emergency or hardship that threatens their ability to remain open or operate safely. This fund is intended to help businesses bridge a moment of crisis, not replace insurance or long-term financing.
